The Magic Valley Model Railroaders have full time residency in the Railroad Building of the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer, Idaho. Inside the building there ar HO, O and N scale layouts. Outside in a covered area is the G scale layout which operates as weather allows. MVMRailroaders are open during the Twin Falls County Fair from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day. They have a Christmas Train Show usually the first week of December each year. The club is open to the public the second Saturday of each month from noon until 3 and other times by appointment. The Northside Model Railroad Association is an HO Scale (1:87) model train club in Jerome, Idaho. Our layout is located at the IFARM near the Jerome Flying J. The layout is 19FT x 75FT and is controlled by the NCE DCC system. Our layout features a large yard, a double deck design, as well as various scenes including a canyon, tunnels, and a soon to be completed shipyard. We are not focused on any road name as we are a freelanced club. From March to October, we regularly hold operations sessions. All are welcome to come visit and apply to become a member. Our membership dues are $5 a month for Junior Members (13 to 17), and $15 a month for all those 18 and above. Donations are appreciated. When Do We Meet: We regularly meet on Friday nights at 6PM. The Eagle Rock Rail Road Historical Society, Inc.
The Eagle Rock Railroad Historical Society, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We are dedicated to preserving the history of railroading in Southeast Idaho and the surrounding areas (Eagle Rock is the original name of the Idaho Falls town site) through the use of model railroading and historical displays. Our primary layout is an HO scale depiction of the Union Pacific Montana subdivision and the Union Pacific Yellowstone Branch. We loosely model the end of the transition era (mid-1950s). We meet every Thursday evening at 7:30pm in the basement of the Idaho Falls Rec Center at 520 Memorial Drive. Visitors are always welcome! Pocatello Model Railroad and Historical Society. Our layouts available in N, HO, S, O, and G scale. Our group is a big mix of almost all scales and eras of railroading. Our club does not adhere to a strict guideline of 1 scale or 1 era like other clubs. All with an interest of modeling trains are welcome no mater what fits your fancy. We typically meet on Wednesday nights between 7pm and 10pm for club activities.

Leisure Prairie Railroad An N scale layout in Nampa, Idaho somewhat based on northern Idaho's Camas Prairie road with many bridges and trestles. A very impressive layout.
Boise, Nampa & Owyhee Railroad An HO scale layout in Boise, Idaho set in the late 1800's. Small equipment with truss rods, excellent scenery and detail. Well worth the trip not only back in time but out to the south forty to see it!
Idaho Pacific & Northern An HO scale layout in Boise, Idaho set in the mid 50's. The Idaho Pacific & Northern is a privately owned short line that connects the Union Pacific in the Treasure Valley of Southern Idaho with the inland port of Lewiston, in Northern Idaho.
The Soo Line West is an HO scale transition era railroad dedicated to the "SOO". Steam, Maroon & Gold, as well as the 1961 Red Nose/Light Grey with bold SOO on the side paint schemes are present. Avery Power and Light Co In memory of Bruce McCosh: An HO scale layout in Boise, Idaho set in the mid 50's. Using early diesel, light and heavy traction. Avery Power and Light Co. provides freight and passenger service between the Milwaukee Road's division point at Avery, Idaho and the surrounding area communities and businesses.
Operating Sessions:
Rick Uhlenkott hosts an operating session on his N scale Leisure Prairie layout. His layout is based on the scenery, trestles and bridges of northern Idaho's Camas Prairie railroad. The UPRR Nevada Division operates on the second Friday and fourth Wednesday of each month unless otherwise indicated. The Wednesday operating sessions begin at 7:00 P.M. Fridays are afternoon sessions beginning at 2:00 P.M. Some of the sessions may need to be cancelled. All attempts will be made to notify regular operators if a cancellation is necessary. You may also call Joel, 208-343-1208, to confirm an operation session.
Visitors are always welcome, as is visiting equipment. If you have HO gauge DCC-compatible equipment you’d like to operate, bring it along!
